Women in Construction Week 2025: Together We Rise

March 2-8, 2025, marks an important week for the construction industry – Women in Construction Week 2025. The annual WICW celebration is spearheaded by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and shines a spotlight on the contributions of women in the construction sector.

At the American Institute of Constructors (AIC), we are proud to support this initiative and champion the growth, visibility, and success of women in construction. The theme for this year, “Together We Rise,” captures key themes of unity, skills, and a shared vision of creating the strongest construction industry yet.

Find out how you can get involved and participate in the week-long events.

Celebrating Women in Construction Week 2025

Since its inception in 1998, Women in Construction Week has grown into a nationwide movement that celebrates achievements, inspires leaders, and provides resources to help create a more robust workforce.

Construction firms, professional organizations, and individuals across the U.S. come together during WIC Week to host events, network with peers, and support women on the path to making substantial contributions to the industry. The support from these events helps foster an environment where women can thrive and lead.

Why “Together We Rise” Matters

The construction industry is transforming, and women are at the forefront of exciting growth opportunities. “Together We Rise” encourages collaboration, mentorship, and learning among construction professionals.

This message resonates with the mission of AIC to accelerate constructor excellence through education, professionalism, and a commitment to ethical standards. By supporting initiatives like WIC Week, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring women are well-represented in the industry.

At AIC, we have seen first-hand the advancements of female representation in our association. During our most recent fall exam window, 11% of our Certified Associate Constructor (CAC) Level I candidates were women. This percentage was steady from 2022 and 2023, capturing the consistent trend of women entering the construction industry.

We are grateful to see this progress and know there is still work to be done. That’s why events like WIC Week are so important. Not only do they provide a platform for celebrating and highlighting the achievements of women in construction, but they also serve as a catalyst for creating more opportunities.
